landcompass.co.uk (the “Website”) is operated by LAND COMPASS LTD which is a limited company registered in Scotland under the Companies Acts (Company Number SC462155) having its registered office at Eilbank Cottage, Manse Brae, Dalserf Scotland, ML9 3BN (“we”, “our”, “us”).

What personal information do we collect about you and what do we do with it?

We will collect the personal information that you provide to us when you create an Owner Profile and / or Agent Profile and / or Land Profile. We will also collect personal information that you provide to us during the order process and when we provide the Advertising Services to you, by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail, post, or otherwise.

Advertising Services: We will use your personal information to:
- help you register an Owner Profile and / or an Agent Profile and / or a Land Profile(s) (as applicable);
- communicate with you in relation to the Advertising Services we are providing (as applicable);
- deliver Advertising Services to you; and
- charge you for the Advertising Services you purchased.
Surveys: Occasionally we may also use your information to contact you to complete surveys that we use for quality assurance purposes
Marketing emails: We may use your email address to provide you with information about goods or services we feel may interest you.
What legal basis do we rely on?
Information we collect about you. We will use to improve your Website experience as it is both of our legitimate interests. If you do not wish to provide the personal information requested you may not be able to proceed with setting up a profile or receiving the Advertising Services.

Our legitimate interests are ensuring that our Advertising Services and the Website remain of quality standard. Do we share personal information?
We contract with third party service providers and suppliers to deliver complete services to our users. The following of our service providers will have access to your personal information for the purposes noted below:
- Land Compass Media Limited as our group company, and Land Compass Limited may direct market to you in accordance with your consent;
- Rycramweb Ltd as our service provider who maintains the Website on our behalf;
- Rycramweb Ltd as our service provider who hosts the Website on our behalf;
- any other person who is authorised to act on your behalf;
- regulators, government departments, law enforcement authorities, tax authorities and insurance companies;
- any relevant dispute resolution body or the courts; and
- persons in connection with any sale, merger, acquisition, disposal, reorganisation or similar change in our business.
We will not sell, trade or lease your personal information to others.
European Economic Area
We may transfer your personal information outside the European Economic Area to the US because the Website is hosted on the cloud by Rycramweb Ltd.
Rycramweb Ltd complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework regarding the use of personal information from EU Member States.
Retention Periods
We will not hold your personal information for any longer than is necessary for the “uses” outlined above, unless we are required to keep your personal data to comply with the law and any regulatory requirements.

- the right to have your personal information deleted in certain specific circumstances as set out in the Data Protection Legislation (including if there is no requirement for its continued storage and processing);

- the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes or for purposes based on our legitimate interests; and
- where you have provided consent, to withdraw such consent at any time.
